China Chengxin International Credit Rating Co. Ltd. has affirmed the African Export-Import Bank’s AAA issuer credit rating with a stable outlook for a second consecutive year.
NAN reported that the rating agency cited Afreximbank’s strategic position, risk management, profitability, liquidity management, and coverage of short-term obligations. The bank said the affirmation supports its access to diversified funding sources, including China’s capital markets.
The report also noted Afreximbank’s 2025 Panda bond and participation in China’s Cross-border Interbank Payment System, developments linked to China–Africa trade and investment flows.
