South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has launched the third phase of a government–business partnership aimed at creating one million jobs and raising annual economic growth above 3 per cent by 2030.
NAN, citing Xinhua, reported that the partnership will use sector-based workstreams with measurable targets, timelines, and accountable leaders. Government commitments include policy certainty, efficient regulation, capable institutions, and reliable public infrastructure.
Ramaphosa said businesses also have responsibilities to invest, expand production, develop local suppliers, and support skills. The model offers an African example of linking public policy, private investment, implementation monitoring, and anti-corruption measures.
