Defence Headquarters has reported that troops rescued at least 59 kidnapped victims and neutralised 11 terrorists during operations conducted nationwide between 14 and 20 August.
NAN reported that the military attributed rescues to operations in the North-East, North-West, North-Central, and other theatres. The account also referred to arrests, recovered weapons, disruption of illegal refining sites, and the clearance of improvised explosive devices.
